Our client is a North American operating facility that has one of the largest 3D Models in the world. They are maintaining 30,000+ individual PDS models. They were at risk of losing data integrity on re-engineering with many EPC’s upgrading their applications. The client acknowledged there was an immediate requirement to upgrade from PDS to S3D.
Scope
- Develop a roadmap to identify work block process
- Develop detailed scope and resource requirements
- Develop communication workshops
- Convert PDS line classes to S3D
- Create execution plan
- Create training modules and support documentation
Results
- Execution of model conversion began in 2019, along with a phased rollout to both Desktop and Virtual Systems.
- Training of over 200 designers, both internal and external, and execution of post-deployment support plan.
